The third level of growth in the Cultivation Plan is designed to prepare and challenge participants to Commit to a lifetime of service to Jesus Christ and His mission. Classes in this stage are still being evaluated and planned out, as such involvement is not sequential.
- Teaching the Body: The Teacher's Triad
- Having completed the first two stages many believers still feel unprepared to lead a small group. This course and its partner are designed to provide these willing servants with practical knowledge, skills, and wisdom. Participants will learn about the three types of learning and how they relate to teaching, lesson planning, and communication. This course will be taught by Dr. Rick Yount, author of Called to Teach and Created to Learn. Dr. Yount is the Professor of Foundations of Education and an Assistant Dean at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. - July 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Family Life Center
- Teaching the Body: Becoming a Better Teacher
- In order to further prepare current and potential small group leaders we will be offering a second session with Dr. Yount. This session will cover practical topics such as 'How to faciliate discussion,' 'How to prepare for a lesson in advance,' and 'How to increase learner application.' - August 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Family Life Center
